The McElroy TracStar500 fuses pipes from 6″ IPS to 20″ DE (180mm to 500mm) at the end. It was the world’s first fusion machine mounted on a track system, which made it mobile in almost any terrain. Considered the flagship of McElroy machines, its success originated the entire TracStar line of fusion equipment.
It incorporates the interchangeable 500 trolley with McElroy’s patented Central Line Guide System. Two fixed, movable clamp jaws result in precision alignment of the tubes for higher quality melt joints. This machine can manufacture segmented elbows with optional mitered inserts and are compatible with DataLogger®.
The automated TracStar500 is also available with automated control and monitoring of heating, impregnation, melting and cooling cycles. This automated system takes the operator through a step-by-step procedure to merge pipe. It has an interbuilt data log function that keeps a record of each fusion joint, allowing you to check the integrity of the joints
